buz
I accidentally found this vintage toy at the Rozelle markets in Sydney last year and gave it to a friend as a surprise. This friend had become so obsessed with the Morse code that he even sent me text messages and emails written entirely in dots and lines. I have no idea what they said! What I personally like about the set are the hand written notes and that it was made in Australia (probably in the early to mid 1960s).

What a great find! There's a morse code buzzer in the 130 Electronic Project box I bought recently ( I must upload that!) Only done three or four of the projects so far - all those wires!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michael. If I ever find another one I'll get it for you.

DeleteI learned Morse Code as a teenage radio ham, and passed a Post Office exam, but it's really difficult to understand it written down like that. I have to say it out loud didahdidit didit dadidah dit, dah didididit didit dididit. The way radio hams laughed in Morse was "didididit didit"
ReplyDeleteHi Alan, congrats on your exam - :-)))! This phonetic-idea is also SO funny and reminds me of the song "da da da" from Trio, 1980somethings! You can get an idea of that here:
