Slide Show Evening

A while ago Josef has been giving me a package of 500 slides ordered online, not knowing what´s inside. Nice surprise – in different meanings. We organised the other equipment (light table, slide projector, slide magazines) so we could start our first slide show evening after many years. That was great fun, especially because there were round about 150 cat-slides (yawn) and 150 slides with modification of buildings (so everyone has got his own hobby!). But afterwards there were some real beautiful landscapes and person pictures from the 80ies. A good start for a new collage project – maybe! I´m so glad, that my mother and my aunt gave me familiy-slides – they are waiting on beeing projected. We´ll wait and see what happens!

Ritsch-Ratsch-Klick

I found an old pocket camera at my parents home – including a film and some flashlights.
That was a great finding for me because my very first camera was like that one and was called „ritsch-ratsch-klick“ – imitating the sounds it makes by using it. The only thing you can choose is: „Cloud“ or „Sunshine“ – so: easy to use!
Beside this I found an old photo taken by me. The image detail is gorgeous, isn`t it?! Haha!

A walk for the lazy ones

This weekend I have to be very bussy – and I don´t like to!!! I would like to prefer going for a walk in the woods. That´s why I´m posting this little video „A walk for the lazy ones“ which I made a while ago .... To go for a walk is always very inspiring!

Ballet Egyptien

--> My friend Ju made an inheritage of an old academy of music. So this wonderful gramophone came to her. During my last visit we checked out if it works – and it does! So we were listening to the “Ballet Egyptien” from Alexandre Clement Leon Joseph Luigini, played by the Orch. Symphonique Edison Bell under the direction of J. Sieulle. Here we go:

Fresh Eggs Vendor

Another kind of "Kinetic Art":
I found this „Fresh Eggs Vendor“ in a lovely region called „Bergisches Land“, and I´ve never saw this before. First you have to choose how many eggs you like to buy next the shelf number. Then you have to feed it with your money and the door opens. I´m sorry to say but the only thing is: It did not cackle!

Vibrating Pictures

Once again I´ve been to the exhibition „Vibrating Pictures Noise Skulputeres – A Homage to Paul Wember“ in the Museum House Esters – here you can read more about the exhibition. House Esters was created by the popular architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and it´s gorgeous! The exhibition is so, too! You can see kinetic art-objects, three-dimensional light pieces created by for example Jean Tinguely, Heinz Mack, Günther Uecker. Most of all I had some fun with the „Tableau Tactile Sonore“ by Yaakov Agam. So I made a little video with my friend Ms. Kangoo I would like to share with you:

Let´s Disco!

Hello everyone! I´m glad to be part of this new blog – and thank you Michael for inviting me!
My name is Sabine Remy, I´m living in Germany (and my specialitiy is my „funny english“). My heart is set on collage. That´s why my motto is „I cut therefore I am!“ Among other things I´m inspired by findings and music, for example Chris Joss´s album „You´ve been spiked“. Here´s a video that I like: "Discotheque Dancing"

(Tze tze - first post and I´ve forgotten the title!)
