Rowland Emmett

Rowland Emmett, a great British eccentric, cartoonist and automata maker . His machines featured in the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and his Far Tottering and Oyster Creek Railway was a highlight of the 1952 Festival of Britain in Battersea Park.

    We love his work. We almost bought one of his illustrations once back in the 80's when he had a show in London. A bit pricey for us though at the time. I vaguely remember seeing his amazing railway as a child at Festival of Britain in Battersea Park .
